Q3: WHICH COMPANIES WOULD YOU SUGGEST APPLYING TO FOR INTERNSHIPS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANCY? I GRADUATED LAST YEAR WITH A BSC IN PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY AND HAVE FOUND IT INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO GET ANY EXPERIENCE AND SO WHAT COMPANIES ARE OPEN TO LARGE GROUPS OF GRADUATE OPPORTUNITIES?
Question answered in the webinar:

BETH HOLT
Answer:
Lots of the big engineering consultancies, like Mott MacDonald, Arup and ERM, tend to have lots of internships, work experience or ‘year in industry’ placements (for people still studying their degree), which are really good opportunities to get experience and practical understanding of what the day-to-day life is like. It’s also worth researching companies who are offering placements and then connecting with relevant people from those companies on LinkedIn and messaging them, to let them know you’ve applied for the internships and get your name out there. You can also connect with graduates in the positions you're looking for, as they might be able to give you some top tips on how to get into the industry.
