2025 YEAR IN REVIEW
As we start 2026, we’ve taken a step back to reflect on what our North American Early Careers Advisory Board achieved in 2025 and celebrate their accomplishments.
It’s been an impressive year, with promotions, Award nominations, leading workshops and joining panel events, developing new sector benchmarks and more.
And it doesn't stop there - as we look ahead to 2026, our members are aspiring to even bigger and better things, including gaining new licenses, stepping into new roles and branching out into new sectors.

Achievements in 2025:

Promoted to Environmental Engineering & Sustainability Professional

Attended two conferences: Environment Analyst Sustainability Delivery Summit (Chicago, IL), Climate Week NYC (New York, NY)

Visited four Jacobs offices: New York, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco

Stepped into lead reporting role for three clients across four reporting standards

Supported deployment of proprietary AI tool to advance sustainability integration across Jacobs
My focus for 2026: Earn Professional Engineer (PE) license, mentor junior staff, and step into new roles in the transportation decarbonization market.
Achievements in 2025:

Promoted to Lead Consultant, Impact Assessment & Biodiversity.

Joined the Early Careers Advisory Board.

Attended two conferences- the International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR) Conference in Milwaukee, WI and the Environment Analyst Sustainability Delivery Summit in Chicago, IL.

Presented for the first time at the IAGLR conference.

Achieved Highly Commended for the Rising Star Award at the EA Sustainability Delivery Summit.

Visited three Ramboll offices!

Supported over twelve biodiversity-related projects.

Focused on process and SOP development to enhance project delivery.
My focus for 2026: Develop a white paper, gain new skills and experience in project management, step in to new roles in the biodiversity space.
Achievements in 2025:

Was nominated by my company to join the North American Early Careers Advisory Board, alongside my other talented board members.

Attended two conferences: Environment Analyst Sustainability Delivery Summit (Chicago, IL), and GHD’s internal Technical Conference (Manchester, UK). In the tech conference I able to represent Business Advisory and show our technical excellence in global sustainability work and collaborative initiatives.

Began working on new sustainability sectors, including climate risk and fleet decarbonization.

Co-led a workshop at a GHD Young Professionals (YP) Conference, which is hosted annually for GHD and client YP’s across Ontario, Canada. I presented in the Environmental Workshop, covering foundational sustainability concepts, providing real world examples of successful projects, and leading the group through a materiality assessment and sustainability roadmap exercise.
My focus for 2026: Attend another conference to help expand my professional network, train to become a Project Manager, learn at least one new project tool to aid in my work, and join projects in at least 2 new sectors.

Joined the EA Early Career Advisory Board, supporting career advisory and strategic thinking into how the industry can develop talent pipeline

Alumni panellist for entry freshman at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Attended 2 conferences: Environment Analyst Sustainability Delivery Summit (Chicago, IL) and UNCF Summit (Atlanta, GA)

Was a panellist at UNCF for my work with the HBCU BIT program – presented how corporations can partner with NGOs/HBCUs/communities to scale their sustainability and resilience

Project leadership across 3 projects in environmental justice work and zero-waste programming

Established as the project PM, providing guidance for my internal team to support client delivery

Support internal circularity training program where we delivered quarterly trainings in 2025 on construction circularity, zero-waste programming, intersections of equity and waste management, and waste certification standards
Achievements in 2025:

Made a full transition onto APTIM’s Sustainability Solutions team from corporate marketing and ESG

Completed my certification as a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional

Launched the Environmental Retail Index, a first-of-a-kind sustainability benchmarking survey for the retail sector assessing environmental performance of store locations.

Developed my first ISSB-aligned sustainability report for a client, including a refresh of climate risk assessment, scenario analysis, and other disclosure content.

Led APTIM’s corporate CDP submission, where we earned a B score!
-
Supported bi-annual corporate refresh of climate-related scenario analysis, pioneering a quantitative approach.

Selected to represent APTIM on Environment Analyst’s Early Career Advisory Board, and appeared on 2 webinars geared toward early career professionals interested in sustainability consulting.
My focus for 2026: I have taken on new responsibilities as interim lead of APTIM’s Sustainable Sport Index—a trusted industry resource gathering self-reported survey data from the majority of NFL, MLB, FIFA, and other professional and collegiate sports venues across North America. As I meet with major leagues and venue participants in our survey to share their results, my goal is to continue growing my skillset in client-facing roles and gain experience in business development.
